Complete Guide to Jamia Millia 5-Year LLB Admission Process

 


Exam notifications have been released for one of the most prestigious colleges in India – Jamia Millia Islamia also referred to as JMI in its acronym. For students keen to enter the LLB graduate program of JMI, the dates have been announced. They should start the application process without delay. The advantage is that any changes or last-minute requirements can be taken care of with enough time lag. 

JMI is a central university under the aegis of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is today ranked among the topmost universities in India for its vast plethora of different academic courses – Graduate, postgraduate, and professional courses like Engineering, Law, Management, Medicine etc. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) it comes 3rd all over India in the university category. JMI is a great option for any law career aspiring student. 

JMI offers a 5-year B.A L.L. B (Hons) law graduate course under the faculty of Law. There are a total of 60 seats for the same. 

Timetable for 5-year B.A L.L. B 2024

  • Opening of application Window – 20th Feb 2024 (visit their official website (www.jmicoe.in.). 

  • Last date for submission of application – 30th March 2024 

  • Processing of application forms - April 4th, 2024 to April 10th, 2024 

  • Date of issue of exam admit card – April 15th, 2024 onwards (The applicant should constantly check if they have received the admit card). 

  • Students will be intimated about their admit card either through a registered mobile number or on the JMI exam web portal. 

  • Date of exam – 11th May 2024


Exam pattern of JMI 5-year LLB: 

  • Total number of questions 150 - (Objective Multiple-Choice questions) 

  • Duration: 2 hours 

  • Sections – Legal, English, General Knowledge & Current affairs, Mental ability, General studies 

Question distribution is approximately as follows: 

Legal reasoning –  40 

General English –  30 

General knowledge and current affairs – 30

Elementary Maths -    10

General studies -  40 ( related to the practical knowledge, general awareness, and ability)
