Three-Year LLB Examination

What Makes KLEE 2026 Different from Previous Years?

Unlike the surprise announcement in 2025, candidates had sufficient indications that KLEE 2026 would likely be conducted towards the end of June.

Last year, many students were caught off guard when the notification was released in mid-May and the examination was scheduled for June 1, significantly earlier than the traditional July schedule followed in previous years.

With approximately three weeks remaining before the examination, students now have a clear timeline to complete their preparation.

Law Colleges Covered Under KLEE 2026

KLEE scores are accepted for admission to the following Government Law Colleges in Kerala:

  • Government Law College, Ernakulam
  • Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram
  • Government Law College, Kozhikode
  • Government Law College, Thrissur

In addition, several self-financing law colleges reserve a portion of their seats under the Government quota, and admissions to these seats are also based on KLEE rankings.

Eligibility Criteria for Five-Year Integrated LLB

Candidates applying for the Five-Year Integrated LLB programme must:

  • Be citizens of India
  • Have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board
  • Students who studied abroad under recognized Indian educational boards are also eligible
  • Candidates who have completed a three-year diploma course after Class 10 from a Government-recognized institution may also apply

Minimum Marks Required

  • General Category: 45%
  • SC/ST Category: 40%

Age Requirement

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Three-Year LLB

Candidates seeking admission to the Three-Year LLB programme must:

  • Be citizens of India
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institution in India

Minimum Marks Required

  • General Category: 45%
  • SC/ST Category: 40%

Upper Age Limit

There is no upper age limit specified in the KLEE 2026 notification for admission to the Three-Year LLB programme.
